A symbol of British capability which has international currency.
After the Royal Jubilee and the Olympic Games the time is right to carry forward our confidence and to use this opportunity
as a springboard for national cohesion.
The symbolism of the Spitfire has been greatly underplayed and we now
have a unique opportunity to harness its energy
in several very powerful ways.
The project in brief:
The principal aim is to elevate the standing of the Spitfire as a national icon
as a means to achieving valuable social, educational and economical goals
for Britain.
Central to this is the saving of Perranporth Airfield in Cornwall:
believed to be the last unspoiled Spitfire Station in the British Isles.
Our objective is to preserve the airfield as a "living" Spitfire museum,
recreating the sights and sounds of it's operational heyday
to the benefit of the public.
In particular we want to use our skills, facilities and network of supporters
to rescue and restore Spitfires to flight
Our commitment to our cause is our priority. We understand the importance of listening to the needs of those less fortunate and we are proud of our exemplary record to dprovide our services promptly, efficiently, and professionally.
